Ezekiel 6

Clinging to a Counterfeit Cross
Introduction

1  The judgment of Israel for their idolatry.
8  A remnant shall be blessed.
11  The faithful are exhorted to lament their abominations and calamities.

Verse 1

And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
And the word
This is a new prophecy, and was probably given after the 430 days of his lying on his left and right side were accomplished. By Israel here Judea is simply meant; not the ten tribes, who had long before been carried captive.

Son of man, set thy face toward the mountains of Israel, and prophesy against them,

Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries.
