men. Hebrew. "enosh. App-14.
fell = fell away; or, departed.
unto me. These words are in the text of Septuagint and Vulgate.
the LORD. Hebrew. Jehovah. App-4.
evil. Hebrew ra"a. App-44.
the lords favour thee not = " thou art not good in the eyes of the princes". See 1 Samuel 29:1.
with thy master's servants. Septuagint reads "thou, and the servants of thy lord". Probably the Manassites named in 1 Chronicles 12:19, 1 Chronicles 12:20, who deserted to David. with thee. The Septuagint adds "and depart unto the place where I appointed you, and entertain no evil thought in thy heart; for thou art good in my sight".
and his men = he and his men, as in 1 Samuel 29:2.
